Thatcher

Thatcher was purchased as a puppy to be my first real sheepdog, and I got so lucky (and chose a pairing wisely) to own a dog like him. He is a blast to train and trial thanks to his drive, resilience, and intensity. He is a dynamic, pushy dog but a real team player and he has weathered me learning to handle a dog with endless enthusiasm. 

He will move anything I ask him to where I ask him to and is the best helper for teaching undogged sheep how to behave. I go to every trial knowing that he will always bring me the sheep without struggle, no matter how tough they are to move. Thatcher is my favorite dog to work and always the dog I reach for when I need something difficult to be done right the first time.

Thatcher adores people, he is silly and excitable with adults but is gentle with kids/babies. He is a lowkey and easy dog at home, I could trust him loose in the house unsupervised from 12 months old and he sleeps by my bed every night. He has no sound or storm sensitivities and is confident and unphased by new experiences and big cities.

His parents are both highly accomplished Open dogs, Alicia Lund's Nora has been in multiple double lifts / prestigious open wins and represented the USA at the world trial. Scott Johnson's Alta-Pete Dave placed in many double lifts with numerous open wins over his career.
