About Us

I came to own border collies and compete in stockdog trials in a roundabout way. I didn't grow up around livestock, but from a young age I was an exteme animal-lover with a fondness for chickens and goats (thankfully I discovered sheep), and knew I wanted a life that involved farm animals. I always loved the border collies in the movie Babe, so they were embedded somewhere in my brain early on. 

When I decided I wanted to own a dog at some point in middle school, I researched a wide variety of dog breeds. When I watched border collies competing in sheepdog trials and international agility competitions, as an athlete myself I fell in love with the breed's physical abilities as well as their intelligence and longevity. After years of research and saving up money, I bought my first working border collie from Cheryl Jagger-Williams. I am forever thankful to her for giving a teenager the chance to buy a border collie as a pet, that I'd one day "just try on sheep" and have things spiral back to that original farm animal dream from there.

I’ve owned border collies for over a decade and have a small farm in New York. I run my dogs in USBCHA and NCA trials across the country, and my dogs and I have qualified for the National Finals in Sheep and Cattle venues eight times since 2021. Along with sheep and cattle dog trials, I have competed in Schutzhund (IGP), disc dog, and agility. The latter two at the national level. Some of my dogs are trained to play sports and I think it is a fun way to bond to put "sport foundations" on my puppies, but I don't compete with my border collies in anything but stockdog events.

I love to share my love of the breed with others, and I am always happy to "talk dogs" and try to help you find the right dog for you, whether that's from me or someone else.
